I couldn't make it out yesterday due to my severe migraine, but this morning the alarm went off and Kryz and I were out the door at 6:00am we got to the airport 5 minutes later and i was surprised to see a line around the airport of cars waiting to park. It was really nice the weather, the people the balloons all in all it was a great event. I was amazed how many photographers there were, some were nice enough to give tips to other amateur photog's, It's sad this is going to be the last race at Tamiami Airport, Tamami Airport doesn't want the races held there anymore don't ask me why but they don't. I think it's a safety issue. I was there on Sunday am and lucked out that they actually had a race. the last 2 years they would inflate and travel a few hundred yards only.
there's too much development in the area and it's simply too dangerous if one of these overshoots the location and lands on kendall drive.
Being that it was the last one, I bit the bullet and got up at 5:30am myself.
